I think that it should be stated again here that it is our belief that the owners of historic properties, preservation-minded folks, and lovers of our world's architectural treasures have been greatly neglected for many years by the real estate industry and by lending institutions. These preservationists and "caretakers" (as I will often refer to them) have been undeniably the true custodians and the "unsung heroes" who have given magnificent care, devotion, and protection to the world's most treasured homes and neighborhoods. These "caretakers" have been essential in saving these homes from modernization or destruction. Because of such people, our children and grandchildren will have a great array of historically and architecturally significant properties to learn from and to enjoy.

In my experience as a consultant for the National Trust for Historic Properties, I have received many inquiries from people from around the world who had no idea how to get their properties valued; or how to find appraisers and lending institutions who really could understand their special circumstances; or where to find craftsmen and other skilled professionals in this very special field.

I wanted to establish this website to offer a one-stop exchange, enabling people such as these to get the information they need, and to contact the professionals they need to enable them to do justice to these historic treasures. It will allow them to offer their homes for sale to purchasers that are especially interested in these properties. It will offer a chat room open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which will bring "caretakers" together to share ideas and learn.

This website will meet the many, many needs of a "caretaker" which are not met in any other place. We will offer special services from people that truly understand your needs.

I hope this website will grow and I hope you will email me with suggestions and insights as to how to
improve it.
